Apartment living has an abundance of perks, and as much as we love our Peak at Sunrise apartment home, there comes a time when we’ve grown tired of the indoors and are looking for a breath of fresh air! Lucky, Puyallup has an abundance of parks and green spaces for you to enjoy.
Bradley Lake Park is the top-rated park in the Puyallup area. Not only does this park have an abundance of green space but it is also home to a 12-acre lake. Bring your swimsuits and towels if you’re going on a hot day, you may want to take a dip to cool off!
If you’re looking to get your steps in, Sunrise Park has walking trails throughout the entire park area. If you work up a sweat on your stroll, the water playground is open year-round and is not just limited to kids. You can also bring your canine companion along as there is a designated dog park here too.
Is anybody else counting down the second until it’s back-to-school time? If your little ones need to burn off some of their energy, treat them to a trip to Wildwood Park. While you sit at one of the shaded picnic areas, your kids can play on the play structure.
Lake Tapps is the perfect place to launch your boat for a day of summer fun! After a long day of boating, you can tie up your boat and enjoy a barbecue at their picnic tables, BBQ grills, and coal dumps. Park goers can also enjoy public restrooms, a walking path that ends at a Mount Rainier viewpoint, and a life jacket self-serve kiosk during the summer months.
We don’t get very many sunny days here in the Pacific Northwest so you have to take advantage of them while you can with a trip to one of the local parks or green spaces mentioned above. Don’t forget to stay up to date with all of Peak at Sunrise’s most recent happenings by following us on Facebook or Instagram.
